Pillar Innovations’ FS Connect app gives the user unprecedented control and insight into their installation of a FieldServices.io IIoT installation. From any iOS device, an operator can take strain readings, register, configure, and monitor wireless nodes, and report events occurring on the monitoring site. Newly automated installation tasks include powering up the node, changing the channel, and putting it to sleep all from your iOS device. Understanding that not all FieldServices.io IIoT installations have reliable wireless communications, the development team at Pillar Innovations included the ability for the app to store configuration and event information until a reliable cellular or wireless signal is available before transmitting information to the cloud.
